TILL I.D. GmbH develops and
markets opto-electronic instrumentation for fluorescence microscopy as used in
fundamental research, applied science and diagnostics. TILL I.D. has a long
record of groundbreaking new developments and breakthroughs in the field of
microscopy. It developed the first galvanometer-based polychromatic light source
(Polychrome), the first real-time ratiometric imaging system, the first
viewfinder-based photometry-system and a variety of other innovations for
live-cell imaging. The success of TILL I.D. is illustrated by the rapid growth
from a small R&D shop in 1993 to a global supplier of microscopy systems today.
In the course of the Project, TILL will develop novel instrumentation to allow
near-infrared detection of cells labelled with BONSAI luminescent NPs in its
iMIC platform and other microscopes. The company currently employs 30 people in
engineering and production. The supervisor of TILL participation in the BONSAI
project is Dr. Rainer Uhl.
